The Origin of GAME-WORN®: The Story Behind Our Wolf
At GAME-WORN®, we focus on the ultimate artefacts that define sport: authentic, game-worn sportswear and the pedigree of "game-worn" was not invented in a modern arena. It was forged over 1,000 years ago. Our crest symbolises a historic truth that applies to elite athletes and serious collectors alike: "A Palace is The Reward of Bravery."

Sportswear that has our G-W Wolf crest carries provenance.
In 1014 AD... The First "GAME-WORN" Artifact
In 1014 AD, King Malcolm II of Scotland was pursued by a fierce wolf in the Wood of Culbleun. A young Celt of the Isles, seeing his sovereign in mortal danger, wrapped his plaid around his arm to absorb the beast's fury, drawing his skene (dagger) to dispatch the wolf.

This was game-worn in its rawest, most historic form. Every fibre of that cloth bore the history of a world-altering conflict.
The celt's battle-tested attire and his weapon were locked securely inside the ancestral castle's charter chest. In an era where a charter chest was a fortress built to safeguard a clan's most vital legal titles and treasures, this Celt established our very first example of archiving historic clothing. Preserved forever.

The Elite Brokerage for Modern History
We look to the modern field of battle now, ice, courts, and fields for the history that was made on them.
As premier brokers of authentic game-worn sportswear, we connect discerning collectors with pieces that carry this exact same spirit of preservation. Whether it is a modern championship jersey or an iconic historic uniform, we ensure that every piece we broker is 100% authenticated, carries the Wolf crest and a lineage worthy of any castle charter chest.
